ALUMINUM FOIL MILL:
EFFICIENT PRODUCTION OF HIGH-QUALITY, LOW-COST FOIL

Unisons design the most advanced foil rolling mills in the world, combining the latest developments in automated foil feed, measurement, and control to enable producers to achieve the best quality foil at the lowest cost.
As the demands on the quantity and quality of aluminum foil have increased, so have the demands on the equipment to produce the foil. At present, rolling mills are expected to roll foil to less than six microns thick in widths of up to two meters and be capable of speeds in excess of 2,000 meters/minute.
To meet these expectations, Unisons include state-of-the-art features for high-speed operation while process support ensures record start-up time and the ability to achieve that the very first coil rolled following a changed mill set-up be saleable. Industry standards for key metrics are exceeded.

 

ALUMINUM HOT ROLLING MILL:
HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCTION, MAXIMUM MATERIAL YIELD, AND SUPERIOR FLEXIBILITY

Unisons provide a full range of aluminum hot rolling mills for both new and revamp projects. With our flexible mill configuration, the high-quality strip can be rolled in capacities between 100,000 to 800,000 tonnes per annum.
As demand for quality and quantity of rolled aluminum increases; so do the demands on production equipment. Unison's solution provides a synthesis of mechanical actuators,
electrical and automation control systems, and applied process know-how to deliver gauge, profile/flatness, temperature, and surface quality with the highest level of consistency.

 

 


 

COPPER COLD AND FOIL ROLLING MILL:

UCM-Mill and X-Mill Technology for thin gauge rolling. The X-Mill with intelligent shape control using Sheetflat is designed for ultra-thin strip/foil rolling. The rolls are arranged in an X configuration in which a pair of parallel backup rolls support the small diameter work roll to prevent horizontal deflection. This enables stable and reliable thin-gauge rolling to be performed.

 

SPECIAL STEEL MILL:

Efficient Rolling of Hard Materials.
Special steel mills from Unisons are specifically designed for the rolling of stainless steel, electrical steel, and other special-purpose steel. The most common configuration is the single reversing mill.
Various mill designs are offered that include 6-high UCMs (Universal Crown Control Mill), ZR mills, and 12-high cold-rolling mills with small-diameter work rolls for the efficient rolling of materials of high hardness.
